Swimming for adults
To help ensure a tranquil and enjoyable swim we have adult-only morning and evening sessions as well as lane swimming.
Adult Aqua classes are available too.
At St. George’s we believe that it’s never too late to learn how to swim. With a little coaching and encouragement anybody can do it. We have swimming lessons available for any age of member to take advantage of.
We’ll coach you from first entering the pool, to gaining confidence, learning the different strokes, water safety and how to make the most of your time in the pool.

Swimming is for everyone
From kids to grandparents, anyone at any age can learn to swim and enjoy the many health benefits of swimming.
For our younger members, our professional, Swim England qualified swimming instructors offer an extensive programme of individual classes, group lessons and coaching plus we have a fun and energetic ‘splash time’ on Saturday and Sunday.

Whilst some swimmers enjoy competing against themselves and others, many of our members use the pool to relax after a workout in the gym or a tough day at work.
According to Swim England, half an hour of swimming three days a week can significantly improve your sleep patterns, decrease stress levels and lower levels of anxiety and depressions.
